30 days...(yikes!)

Being pumped is slowly turning into being nervous...and no thanks at all to my mother (these are both direct quotes):

"After 2 sleepless nights and horrendous dreams I have now, not so proudly, joined the ranks of those officially paranoid about Kristin's travels! She'll be right mate !!"

And her begging request to Bill:

"Will you take time off work to come rescue her with me...she will have yellow fever and malaria, a deadly snake bite, broken leg from the rhino attack and she will be wandering around unknown lands deliriously, so we will also have to find her! It may take some time as she will also have had her passport carried away by mosquitoes!"

Mom, apparently you have far worse problems than my travels.

That being said...
1. My arms are still bruised from my shots (whooping cough?! polio?! really?!)
2. My anti-malaria pills are costing a fortune (anyone have any suggestions between Mefloquine or Atovaquone-Proguanil)?
3. My passport is currently en route to the Indian Embassy - which for those of you don't understand the signifiance means that I leave in a month and currently do NOT have my passport IN MY HANDS where I like it.
4. My backpack looks smaller and smaller by the day...
5. Why doesn't Verizon use sim cards?
6. I had planned on knowing the Hindi alphabet by now.
7. Some creeper known as "anonymous" (I have my suspicions) is leaving comments on my blog about chaffing.

Crap.

  1. It should not have taken this to tell you I have other problems! Bill, be ready...have your bag packed, we may not have much notice. And only one bag allowed as we probably won't have enough time to rent a mule (ox...??) to carry our water as we search! Sweet dreams everyone!
